When are teams formed?

Recreational teams (U7-U10) are formed before the fall season.  Classic teams and above (U11-U18) are formed in June after tryouts when offers are made.  Players can join a waiting list for potential openings throughout the year.

How can I get my child on a team?

Contact the club at youth@veronasoccer.org or (608)848-7616 to inquire about openings.  Please provide player's name, birth date, sex, parent/guardian name and phone number.

What does a soccer season consist of?

Typically teams may have up to two practices a week and players can attend the weekly TIP clinic offered by the club.  Each season will have 8 scheduled games (4 home / 4 away) , but  tournaments are encouraged and may be added to the schedule.

What equipment is needed?

Players are required to own a club uniform, soccer cleats and shin guards.  They should also have an age appropriate soccer ball to bring to each practice.

What is the club philosophy?

The focus within the Verona Soccer Club is player and team development and to foster a love for the game.  We also encourage members to support the community as well (for example, ball kids for the high school soccer teams).

What about the coaches?

Under the leadership of the Director of Coaching, our coaches utilize age appropriate development programs to guide the player and team development.  Our coaches are trained and certified to teach soccer to our youth.
