Youth Soccer Night
Youth Soccer Night is Sept 5th at the VAHS stadium. The JV game is at 5pm and the Varsity game is at 7pm. Volunteers are needed to be ball boys for the games and adults are needed to help run concessions and the youth fun games. Ball boys are also needed for games on Tues, 8/27 and Tues, 9/2. If you can help at any of these events please call Mary Buckman on the VASC line at 848-7616 or email her at buckmanmary@yahoo.com.

Thanks to Miller and Sons
The appreciation plaque for Miller and Sons has come in and Scott Clement and Dan Nuthals will be presenting it to Carl Miller in recognition of all the many ways he has supported the Verona soccer program over the years.

First Aid Kits were purchased for every team. High School boys teams will get theirs in the Spring. Next Spring another set of benches will be purchased for the VASC fields.

Badger Prairie Field
The Badger Prairie Field across from Reddan is now under lease by Reddan Soccer Park. Teams wanting to reserve the field should request an "Application for Use of Reddan Soccer Park" (or download one from the MAYSA web site on the Reddan Page). Complete the application and fax it to MAYSA at 276-0119. No phone call requests will be accepted.

Tryouts
Despite difficulties in getting the dates set in a timely way, the Alliance tryouts for U15-U17 boys themselves went well. The VASC would prefer a fall tryout rather than trying out during summer vacation when many players are not around.

Coach/Manager Disclosure Statements
All coach/manager disclosure statements should be turned into Andy Slawek, coaching director, before the season starts. If you have questions about this Andy can be reached at adjt@charter.net.

Footskills Clinics
The club is looking at setting up footskills clinics over the winter for interested players. There will be more information about this later. Next meeting is September 16, 7:00 pm, Verona Public Library. Submitted by Mary Mattison, Secretary
