The Verona Way skills clinic is
held Sundays during the fall and spring seasons as an extra training for all
Verona Area Soccer Club players.
The program: The program curriculum
is based in the BASIC IDEAS OF THE DUTCH VISION: The Dutch Vision suggests that
children should play games with
smaller sides and on smaller fields. This way they get numerous touches and
start understanding team shape, so they have more contact with the ball in
match like situation, which improves their vision for this beautiful game.
On a full size pitch children don't have enough touches on the ball and therefore
don't learn enough
The curriculum: The
program curriculum consists of: ball mastery, change of direction, change of
speed, fakes and feints, 1v1 attacking/defending
situations, 2v2 and 3v3 situations and 4v4 games. Total enjoyment from soccer.
From soccer training the most enjoyment can be gained in situations where players
can score as much as possible and also have to defend.
The training hour: The first 20 minutes will consist of ball mastery, the next 20 minutes 1v1 and
2v2 situations, the last 20 minutes 4v4 games.
Verona Way: Positive to all, Maximum effort, Ball circulation (every 3-5
seconds) and movement in open space after passing
Verona Way: Don’t just play,
master your skills.
